Welcome back to the Summer term – I hope everyone had a great break over the Easter holidays!

Our initial priority for this term is SATs week (Mon 11^th May - Thursday 14^th May). After half term, we will be rehearsing for our end of year production and preparing for our transition to Secondary school. There are plenty of end-of-year events coming up to look forward to, and I hope that your child has a fantastic final few weeks to finish their time here at Monksmead School!

Homework
As usual, homework will be handed out every Wednesday and will consist of Spellings, Maths and Reading Comprehension tasks which will help to consolidate the children’s learning from that week. The homework will need to be handed back in on the following Tuesday. Every other week, the Maths homework will be assigned online using Sumdog.

PE
PE lessons this term will take place every Tuesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon. After the half term break, Mrs Bedwell will be teaching Netball every Thursday morning. Please ensure that your child has their named PE kit in school at all times and that it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor PE.

Please also make sure that your child has a named water bottle in school at all times so that they can keep hydrated during the day.
